This exhibit features multiple images describing the onset and progression of necrotizing fasciitis. In this particular exhibit, three cut-sections are shown through the anterior chest wall skin, fat, fascia, pectoralis muscles and rib bones. Images include: 1. Normal chest wall, 2. Origination of infection within the fascial layers, 3. Progression of the infection through those layers and into adjacent tissues.
