This custom medical exhibit reveals four comparative detailed views of the bones of the left foot, ankle and heel. Specifically shown are the following: 1. Initial intra-articular calcaneal (heel bone) fractures, 2. Placement of internal fixation plate and screws, 3. Onset of post-traumatic joint deterioration and arthritis, 4. Final condition after fusion of the tibio-calcaneal joint with bone graft and fixation screws.
