Snoring and Sleep Apnea - Medical Animation

This 3D medical animation shows what happens during snoring and sleep apnea. Snoring is due to the vibrating of respiratory structures and is demonstrated here with the vibrated uvula. Sleep apnea occurs when a person has pauses in their breathing or shallow breaths while sleeping because the pharynx collapses and air cannot pass through to the lungs.
