MEDICAL ANIMATION TRANSCRIPT: Early lung cancer typically does not cause symptoms. As the cancer grows, you may experience symptoms, such as a cough that gets worse or does not go away, shortness of breath, chest pain, and wheezing. Other symptoms of lung cancer include coughing up blood, hoarseness, weight loss without trying, and frequent lung infections, such as pneumonia. Other health problems may cause these symptoms.
