This stock medical exhibit shows an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in a male patient. An AVM is an abnormal combination of entangled blood vessels in the brain that are prone to bleed. This bleeding can cause symptoms ranging from headaches and seizures to neurologic catastrophes and even death. The defect and surrounding anatomy (brain, vessels) are shown from an anterior view.
